10He Was Arrested For Steroid Possession But The Charges Were Dropped
In 2001, when Brock Lesnar was still with WWE’s developmental territory OVW, it was reported that he had been arrested and charged with possession of steroids after Lesnar received what were believed to be steroids in a parcel.
Brock maintained throughout that they were not steroids and it would be proven that he was telling the truth. 4 months later, the charges were dropped and Lesnar was exonerated when lab tests revealed that they were indeed not steroids.
9He Threatened To Punch The Former WWE Head Of Security In The Face
As mentioned previously, Brock Lesnar does not like other people. While doing an interview for Fox News, the Former WWE Head of Security Jimmy Noonan confirmed that and went as far as to say that The Beast was “miserable” during his first run with the company.
Noonan said that since Lesnar was the champ at that time, he would personally shadow him through airports. One time when they were walking through the airport, Lesnar told Noonan that he would punch him in the face if someone came up to him and asked for an autograph.
8He Refused To Participate In A Japanese Wrestling Tradition
Brock Lesnar’s autobiography, Death Clutch, was a great source of stories about The Beast. One of the best that he told came from his time in NJPW.
A long-standing tradition there is for newcomers to be slapped by living legend Antonio Inoki. To absolutely no one’s surprise, Lesnar did not like that idea and made his position clear that no one was going to slap him. He went on to say that “They got the point”.
7He Fought Kurt Hennig On The Plane Ride From Hell
Easily the most infamous backstage story that Brock Lesnar took part in was The Plane Ride From Hell. The plane ride happened at the end of a European tour in 2002, with one of the many incidents that happened on it being Curt Hennig provoking Lesnar into fighting him.
Lesnar ended up taking Hennig down and a bunch of wrestlers on the flight, including Triple H, Dave Finlay, and Paul Heyman, had to separate them. All of the blame for the incident ended up being put on Hennig and he was released from the company shortly after.
6He Felt He Was Made To Look Weak At Extreme Rules 2012
After Brock Lesnar made his long-awaited return to WWE in 2012, he was booked to face John Cena in his first match back at Extreme Rules. Cena ended up getting the shocking win over Lesnar and cut a weird promo after the match which made The Beast furious.
Reportedly, Cena was supposed to be stretchered out of the arena after the match instead of cutting the promo. Lesnar felt that the promo was made to make him look weak and that WWE betrayed him. This caused him to throw a tantrum of sorts backstage which included tearing apart his dressing room and yelling at Marc Carano.
5He Was Stalked By A Boy At The Gym
While doing an interview for Inside The Ropes, former WWE star Wade Barrett recalled a funny story about the one time that he saw Brock Lesnar in the gym while on the road with WWE.
Just as they were finishing up their workout in Dallas, Texas, Lesnar walked in and everyone took notice. One person that took particular interest in Lesnar was a 16-year-old kid who started following Lesnar around. The kid ended up following Lesnar into the bathroom at one point which resulted in Lesnar yelling at him and the terrified kid running out. Barrett went on to say that that the incident became a running joke in the locker room.
4He Convinced A Bartender To Keep The Bar Open After Raw Was Cancelled
On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T recalled a story about a time that Brock Lesnar got a bartender to keep the bar open for everyone. This came in January of 2015 when that week’s episode of Raw was canceled due to a snowstorm.
Booker said that he was sitting at a bar with JBL and Roman Reigns when the bartender said that they were closing. They asked if it could stay open for another hour but she refused. That’s when Lesnar walked in. Booker told him that they needed to leave but Lesnar told him to wait and that he would talk to her. 2 minutes later, they were told that the bar would be open for another hour.
3Chris Jericho Confronted Him At SummerSlam 2016
At SummerSlam 2016, Brock Lesnar busted Randy Orton open in one of the most brutal displays on WWE television in recent memory. After watching it backstage, Jericho was worried about Orton and approached Lesnar to ask if it was planned.
This resulted in Lesnar yelling at him which frustrated Jericho and made him yell back. Things got pretty heated as they got face to face with each other and they ultimately had to be separated.
2Big Show Wrestled Lesnar While He Had Food Poisoning
Brock Lesnar and Big Show have a long storied history with each other on-screen in WWE. One of their matches during The Beast’s first run with the company resulted in a humorously disgusting incident due to Big Show having food poisoning while in South Africa.
Big Show knew he had food poisoning before the match, but insisted on going through with it. That ended up being a bad idea. After being slammed into the canvas by Lesnar, Big Show ended up exploding with diarrhea all over him. It turns out that Lesnar found it hilarious and was laughing at Show the entire time.
1He Has Heat With Matt Riddle
Matt Riddle has been very vocal over the years about wanting to face and retire Brock Lesnar. That has ended up rubbing The Beast the wrong way and resulted in a backstage altercation between the two at Royal Rumble 2020.
While he was waiting backstage to take part in the Royal Rumble match, Paul Heyman, Lesnar, and Lesnar’s security guard approached Riddle. Lesnar told him that there was no chance that he would ever face him, so he would be better off doing something else. WWE ended up showing the incident as part of their WWE Chronicle series.
