During the past 36 editions of WrestleMania, Superstars have produced entertaining in-ring promos, other than just innumerable great performances in the squared circle. While many such WrestleMania promos are still remembered today, some have been lost in the shuffle for being ordinary. Without further ado, let’s find out five of the best in-ring promos on The Grandest Stage of Them All and five that were downright disappointing.

10Iconic: Elias & John Cena (WrestleMania 35)
As John Cena got injured a few months before WrestleMania 35, he was set to miss The Showcase of Immortals. Nevertheless, WWE had another interesting plan for the Leader of Cena, which became one of the outstanding WrestleMania segments of Cena’s career.
Elias was holding a concert in the middle of the ring at WrestleMania 35, but he got interrupted by John Cena, who brought back his popular old gimmick, The Doctor of Thuganomics. As his music hit, the crowd erupted in ecstasy to see this beloved gimmick return to WWE. Cena entered the ring to take shots at Elias while rapping, and the fans loved every second of the segment. Cena left the ring after delivering an Attitude Ajustment and a Five Knuckle Shuffle to Elias.
9Wasted Time: John Cena Proposes To Nikki Bella (WrestleMania 33)
John Cena and Nikki Bella competed in a Mixed Tag Team match against The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33. Cena and Nikki Bella, who were dating back then, won the match. However, an in-ring segment took place between Cena and Nikki after the match.
John Cena went down on his knees and proposed to Nikki Bella by calling the real name of the latter. A delighted Bella didn’t hesitate to say “yes” to Cena’s question. However, the segment was a waste of time because they were already engaged behind the screen, and it was also cringeworthy.
8Iconic: Piper Pit (WrestleMania V)
Given the popularity of old school wrestling in the mainstream world, several pop culture stars would show up in WWE back in the day. Likewise, Morton Downey Jr, who was a famous talk show host, made an appearance at WrestleMania 5, and he was the guest of Roddy Piper’s own talk show, Piper Pit.
Like numerous iconic Piper Pit segments, it was incredible at The Show of Shows. Morton was notorious for smoking cigarettes as a comedian, and he also did it on the face of Piper, who responded by attacking Morton with a fire extinguisher in the middle of the ring.
7Wasted Time: The Rock & Wyatt Family (WrestleMania 32)
While there were not many segments from The Great One that could fall in the category of wasting time, his segment from WrestleMania 32 certainly did. It was the last appearance of The Rock on The Grandest Stage of Them All. With over 100,000 people chanting his name, he made a grand entrance with Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders walking him to the isle.
Unfortunately, The Rock’s promo with The Wyatt Family wasn’t as good as his entrance. After exchanging words, The Rock beat Eric Rowan in just six seconds, making it the shortest match in WrestleMania history. Moreover, John Cena joined hands with The Rock to dismantle The Wyatt Family.
6Iconic: Donald Trump Shaved Vince McMahon’s Head ( WrestleMania 23)
Donald Trump was involved in a storyline with Vince McMahon, which was called the Battle of Billionaire. Representing Trump, Bobby Lashley beat Umaga, who was on the side of Mr. McMahon. The losing billionaire had to have his head shaved in the middle of the ring, according to the stipulation of the match.
Donald Trump, along with Stone Cold and Bobby Lashley, forced Vince McMahon to sit on a chair and shaved his head. It would always remain as one of the greatest segments in the history of WrestleMania.
5Wasted Time: Mandy Rose & Otis Kiss (WrestleMania 36)
WrestleMania 36 was different from the rest because it was held behind closed doors without any crowd. Dolph Ziggler and Otis crossed paths in a singles match at The Showcase of Immortals, where the latter saw a happy ending.
Mandy Rose helped Otis to win the bout, but an unexpected thing happened after the match, as Rose went on to kiss Otis. With no crowd, the segment wasn’t necessary, nor Otis’ long wait was worth remembering.
4Iconic: Ronda Rousey & The Rock Vs Stephanie McMahon & Triple H (WrestleMania 31)
Ronda Rousey’s maiden WrestleMania appearance was in 2015, but she was just another spectator, not a performer. She was at the top of her game in UFC, as she was the reigning UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion. The Baddest Woman in the Planet delivered an astounding segment with The Rock at WrestleMania 31.
The Rock and Stephanie McMahon had an exchange of words when the latter slapped the former. Since The Great One refused to put his hands on a woman, he called Ronda Rousey in the squared circle, who not only assaulted Stephanie but also Triple H.
3Wasted Time: Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, & Stone Cold Steve Austin Segment (WrestleMania 32)
Three perennial legends- Stone Cole Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, and Mick Foley- were special guests at WrestleMania 32. The legends marched towards the ring and attacked the members of The League of Nations, who were bragging about themselves after overcoming The New Day.
Despite having such big names, the segment was awful for the treatment of The League of Nation members. Austin, HBK, and Foley not only buried them on the mic but also in the ring. Moreover, The New Day weren’t spared from The Rattlesnake. WWE showed their dependency on past Superstars once again while making current stars look weak.
2Iconic: The Rock, Hulk Hogan, & Stone Cold Steve Austin (WrestleMania XXX)
The opening segment of WrestleMania 30 might go down as the greatest WrestleMania opener in WWE history, considering the three biggest names in professional wrestling stood in the ring at the same time. Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and Stone Cold Steve Austin were together to take the fans down memory lane.
All three legends talked about their careers in WWE, and they also entertained the fans with their signature catchphrases.
1Wasted Time: Kane & Pete Rose (Wrestle Mania XIV)
Pete Rose, the legendary baseball player, had an association with WWE, appearing for the first time at WrestleMania 14. He was the special announcer for the match between Kane and The Undertaker. Before even introducing the competitors, Rose disparaged the fans, and he was heavily jeered by the home crowd.
It was certainly an irrelevant promo in an event like WrestleMania. Subsequently, Kane made his entry and gave a Tombstone Piledriver to Rose.
