In the wake of the revelation, reports surfaced claiming Brock might not go back to being an MMA fighter in spite of his status. The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer has doubled down on this with claims that Lesnar’s wife, Sable, is not in support of a return to the octagon.

Of course, MMA would always be an option for Brock. After leaving WWE for the first time in 2004, he went to wrestle in Japan and, four years later, kicked off a career as an MMA pro with UFC. The towering star won the company’s Heavyweight Championship and successfully defended it on two occasions.

He left UFC with a 5-3 record and returned to WWE to become the promotion’s most dominant force, ending The Undertaker’s legendary streak at WrestleMania XXX. He’s since held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, owned the Universal Championship for a year, and has also captured the WWE title, which he lost to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36.

He Should Be Back

Lesnar hadn’t appeared on WWE TV since losing the belt to McIntyre and it was rumored that he might make a return following WWE’s move to the Amway Center. The reports on Roman Reigns returning for the location shift proved correct as The Big Dog made his comeback at SummerSlam.

The Beast Incarnate, however, is no longer under contract with the company although he will most likely end up back working there.
