R-Truth has set himself up to go into WWE folklore with his momentous achievement at Clash of Champions on Sunday night.

Truth lost the WWE 24/7 Championship to Drew Gulak during a backstage segment on the show but won it back in similar fashion, taking the number of his reigns to 40.

The veteran is now the most winningest wrestler in WWE, with 45 title reigns to his name at the moment. Apart from those 40 24/7 reigns, Truth has won two WWE Hardcore Titles, two WWE United States Championships and a Tag Team title. We imagine he’ll be adding plenty more reigns to that stat over the next few months, given his obsession with his piece of silverware.

Something To Be Proud Of

While many fans won’t consider this a notable achievement – and we totally understand – it does count as an official record, one Truth is undoubtedly proud of.

To be fair, the title could have been a complete dud had he not lent his comedic skill to its storylines. Drake Maverick deserves lots of credit for making the 24/7 drama as entertaining as it has been but R-Truth has seemingly made it his responsibility to make the belt relevant.

There aren’t any certainties where the future of the 24/7 championship is concerned but, as long as it’s around, Truth will be somewhere in the picture.

As for his record, we don’t see anyone toppling it anytime soon.
